Join the Great Northern Brewing in celebration of its 17th Anniversary on February 4th, during the Whitefish Winter Carnival.
For the second year in a row, Black Star and the Great Northern Brewery are hosting the annual Black Star Barter on Saturday, February 4th 2012. Whitefish residents and visitors are asked the same question at the Black Star Barter, “What Would You Do or Trade for a Year’s Supply of Beer?” During the event, contestants barter any beer-worthy item or talent for a year’s supply of Black Star! As an official Whitefish, Winter Carnival event, the Black Star Barter will immediately follow the Whitefish Winter Carnival parade, taking place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in front of the Great Northern Brewing Company. At the end of the day one lucky winner will walk away with 52 cases of Black Star beer!
Directly following the Black Star Barter, the 17th Anniversary of the Great Northern Brewing Company will begin! Everyone is invited to join us in celebrating 17 years of fine brewing, Whitefish and Whitefish Winter Carnival while dancing the night away to a local band with friends and family! For the special occasion, brewmaster Joe Barberis has prepared an Anniversary Black Lager, a smooth brew with light roastiness and noble hop aroma that you won’t want to miss.
