29 tickets left for Charlie Papazian fundraising MT Craft Beer Cruise on Flathead Lake!

Posted On July 29, 2013

Hello Montana beer lovers!

Our August 10th craft beer cruise on Flathead Lake with Charlie Papazian is drawing near, and as of this time, we have fewer than 30 passenger spots available on the boat out of the original 150. We’d love to have you on board for this fundraising event.

All proceeds benefit the work of the Montana Brewers Association, and as you know we’ve had a heavy work load in 2013. Things will start to heat up again soon, and the MBA intends to work hard with industry partners and our patrons (you) to develop legislation that will fix the void that currently exists in the law to recognize unique needs of manufacturers, and how those can coexist with retailer needs. We are developing proper strategy to do just this, and will work to meet our brewery industry needs at large, and to develop solutions that make sense. Fundraisers, and fun ones like the Cruise with Charlie, are events that help us achieve our goals.

Tickets are $150 per person, and include a three-hour cruise on The Far West boat which will depart from Lakeside promptly at 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 10 (please arrive with plenty of time, we want everyone to make departure!). We’ll be entertained with live music by the talented John Floridis, who has made it his goal to play at each and every brewery in Montana. He’s a part of the family around here, and we love his music. We’ll also have delicious food provided by MBA member Tamarack Brewing Company, which is located in beautiful Lakeside.

Please see our special event page for more information on the event, including participating hotels, and Charlie: MBA site- Cruise with Charlie Info/Tickets Page

While you’re in the Flathead area, you’ll want to take advantage of the fact that the Jos. Lozar Montana Brewery Museum in Polson will be open for this special weekend on Saturday the 10th and Sunday the 11th. They’re adding a new group of items under the name of the Ole and Annabelle Olson Memorial Collection just before our cruise! Ole was a long time Montana Brewerianna collector who recently passed away. His family has allowed the museum to display a portion of the collection, which is immense.

Museum address: 40735 MT Hwy 35, Polson, Above the Shirt Shoppe on the left, just after turning north on HWY 35 to go to Bigfork. Take the outside stairs to the second story.
Hours: 12:00-4:00 Saturday, and 10:00-4:00 Sunday
Phone: (406-314-2767)

To snag one of the few remaining spots on the boat, please visit this site and we’ll see you there!
